                U.S. STOCK MARKET OVERVIEW

High Point University's Investment Club

Welcome to the Floyd T. Craven Investment Club of High Point University.

The Floyd T. Craven Investment Club is an entirely student-run long-short equity fund.  We incorporate a growth strategy in an effort to satisfy our long-term rate of return objectives.  We accomplish this through capital appreciation and interest and dividend yields.  The investment club aggressively applies a diversified asset allocation strategy that parallels its investment vision.

The Floyd T. Craven Investment Club at High Point University was created in 1998. It was funded with a generous gift from HPU alumnus James E. Foscue in honor of his accountant, Floyd T. Craven.  The Investment Club exists to educate undergraduate students in areas of finance, investment analysis, and portfolio management. It provides students at High Point University with the opportunity to invest university dollars in the stock market under the guidance of professors of finance in the university's Phillips School of Business.

We meet in the stock trading room of the Plato S. Wilson School of Commerce Sundays at 4:00pm.
